Anyone else noticed some strange things happening with various bits of equipment while the current mass ejections have been occurring?

We are getting RAIM warnings for RNP approaches at work.

And my robot mower had a hellish time getting into its charge station a couple of times. When it happens I go look at the northern lights websites and yep its a colossal magnetic storm coming through. The local dealer is having a right old time with people bring there mowers in under warranty.
He phoned me and asked if I have had problems as he is out our way anyway. I explained I thought it was to do with sun activity..... the line went silent.... then mumbled obscenity's in Russian and Spasiba and the line cut off.

Not a failure as such..... but more interesting for me because I have zero clue about EM issues.

Our garage door opener has been haywire for a few weeks... randomly lost pairing with the remotes. Now the remotes work in the evening only, but never in the morning. No intervention required for them to work in the evening; they just don't work in the morning.

That's exactly the time of day our robot mower starts doing a good impression of me trying to get in the front door after an evening with the brother in law getting into the charging station.

Its still good enough for wide area navigation just you don't get the 0.1 accuracy that you require to throw 50 tons of metal at the ground doing 150 mph and only see it at 250 ft up.

To be honest my robot mower being drunk in the morning is more annoying.

Maybe you need to put Martin on a curfew putting him in bed at 22.00 so he wont need to find the front door so early in the morning.

he is getting sent to bed when the sun goes down at the moment and up when the sun comes up and the solar panels are providing the power.

Although its hit 20 deg C during the day and 10 at night and rain is due this week so expect the grass to explode out of the ground and he will have to work 24h.

It has been a bit strange with the electrical spot prices lately.
Before they always sad that they where higher during the day and lower at night but now some days and quite often they are the opposite here.
Maybe it is because it is spring, warmer during the day more sun power production, colder at night, no sun.

I think it's the growing amount of solar.

I pulled 33 kWh for the grid last month with the heating on. And most of that was reactive.

Last two months I have produced over 1300 kWh both months and this month will be again above average unless the ex goes to pot in the last two weeks.

Both months I made 140 euro credit for this winter coming. Which combine with electricity used was gross 350 euro worth.

The battery is saving a fortune. Its cut its pay back time down from 17 years to 6 if it carries on like this.

Price variation there might correspond to the resource experiencing the most fluctuation (Wind?). Spain's Higher prices have lately been because of less water flow to the hydroelectric generators. The price drops whith increasing wind production.

At least todays price here where I am is becuase of the wind it is only 6 EUR MWh And we have 41% wind and exporting 4 593 MW.

Well the north of Sweden is special we produce most of the electricity but we can't always deliver.

yes i am in that 212 region....

thankfully I pump in 1000 kwh a month and only suck reactive at normal rates.
