Hi,

What does super critical fluid really means?

As from common knowledge it implies any substance at a temperature and pressure above its critical point, where distinct liquid and gas phases do not exist.
If it is that than how CO2 and water could be the most commonly used super critical fluid at different operating conditions below critical point?

Many thanks.
