thread127-131697
I have just noticed that this question was asked in 2005 but the topic has been closed.
I also would like anyone with experience on superclaus condenser operation to share any success stories as to how reliability of such can be improved.
Our problems include, among other things:
1- repeated tube leaks and tubesheet corrosion
2- tube pluggages with solidified sulphur and catalyst dust, etc
3- internal steam coil corrosion resulting in steam leaks inside the outlet side of the exchanger.
Interestingly, most of the corrosion problems are seen on the outlet side of the condenser where the gas stream has cooled.
Looking forward to your ideas.
Thank you.
