Supplement to Bruhn - Table of Contents 1

Many of you are familiar with the book "Analysis and Design of Flight Vehicle Structures" by E. F. Bruhn, which was published in 1965 and revised in 1973. William F. McCombs, one of the coauthors of that book, published a 110-page supplement in 1998, and that supplement has been mentioned here on these forums a number of times. There is no real information, however, on what is actually included in that book.

I called Mr. McCombs, ordered the supplement, and received it this last week. The content looks just like the original book, in typewriter font and with many graphs and tables. I expect I will be using it often.

I am including a link to my webpage which has an important correction to the pre-2005 editions of the Supplement, and also the complete Table of Contents. I hope this will be helpful to the members here:

Also, please note that the current price is now $18.95 plus $3.00 postage and handling. This information will hopefully be updated in SparWeb's excellent FAQ "Where can I find rare Aero books?"

Is it possible to reach Mr. McCombs by email?
I would like to know if he mails outside USA and post expenses.
Thanks

E-mail me anytime with corrections & updates. Thanks.

Delivery outside of the US is okay; for me he called back with the delivery fee once he'd looked it up.

Bill is just a phone call away. Who needs e-mail?

Bill is working on some other books, so keep your eyes open. Actually, he may have already published his book on beam-columns and buckling.

Correction: It's already been published, as you state in your other thread2-112697.
