suppress all internal components in an assembly

Is there a command or way in NX to suppress all internal components in an assembly?

For example, imagine you have an assembly of an office cabinet. Is there a way to automatically suppress all the internals of the cabinet (i.e. everything inside the drawers)?

There is no direct 'automatic' function, but the following procedure should help you accomplish what you wish.

Open your assembly and position it so that the components that you wish to 'suppress' are not visible (with shading ON of course). Then select Assemblies -> Context Control -> Hide Component in View... and then press 'Select All' and hit OK. Now the only components that you can see were the ones not visible a moment ago. This should include all of the components that you wish to suppress although of course there could be some left that while they were not visible a moment ago they are ones that you wish to keep so repeat the previous command only this time manually select the few that remain that you wish to not suppress. Once you're only left with the ones that you DO wish to suppress now do a Select All and using MB 3 select the Suppress option. Now go back to Assemblies -> Context Control only now select the 'Show Component in View' command and you will get a list of all currently 'hidden' components. Select the complete list and hit OK. Now the only active components in your assembly are the ones that were basically visible, i.e. NOT inside of anything.
