surface finish measurement technique

I am looking for reading material with regards to surface finish measuring procedures/techniques right from introduction. I will appreciate if anyone could point me out towards any books/papers/journals etc regarding measurement of surface finish.

The Machining Data Handbook would be a good place to start. You probably already have a copy some where in the plant.
