John or somebody,

How could I enable the snap points when I use the Surface finish symbol command in drafting environment?
How could I attach the symbol to any edge of the component without leader?
I can't do it in NX7.5 but it works in NX7 and any below versions.
thanks your help

The normal (as found on the Selection Bar) Snap Point tools are not used during the placement of Finish Symbols. What you do is that when the Finish Symbol dialog opens, where it says 'Specify Location', select the 'Origin Tool' icon. Now toggle ON the 'Point Constructor' icon, then using the 'Origin Location' list of point option, select 'Point on Curve/Edge'. Now you can select an edge to place the symbol.

To an Engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

UPDATE: Note that in the next version of NX the normal Snap Point tools will NOW be available from the top level Finish Symbol dialog so that there will no longer be a need to use the Point Constructor options unless there's something special that you need to do. This will eliminate several menu selections and will speed-up the placement of multiple symbols when there's a need to select different type of origin points.
