Surface Plot / Screen Card

When I try to make a surface plot in MathCad, the screen flickers (the screen showing the program), and I am forced to shut down the program for it to stop. I am also forced to delete the surface plot before I shut it down. If not, the problem is still there when I open the file again.

What is causing this problem?

Mathcad is VERY finicky about graphics accelerators. You might try disabling such features in your graphics card and see if that helps.
