Hi,

We would like to measure suspended solids on a stream in order to monitor the sediment yield in a reservoir. We would like to know more about the use of a sediment-load measuring station. Where to obtain more information about this? Cost estimation, methodology, etc.

Thanks!

Just to mention that the stream where the station(s) has to be installed is relatively large and the flow rate estimated are important (mean daily is 12 cms and max daily is 351 for 50 years of data).

If you are in the US, contact your county cooperative extension agent. They can put you in touch with one or more experts in the subject which can provide you with assistance and information.
