Hi All,
Having trouble understanding how suspension busing are made. Is the rubber heated and then injected into metal housing ? Is this when the
Vulcanization occurs ? Or is the rubber already in the shape of the bushing , and is placed into housing and then undergoes vulcanization?

I’ve seen videos online where it looks like the rubber is placed into metal housing rather than being injected. What is confusing me is the vulcanization process is called injection.

Look at how tires are made. The rubber is rolled into sheets, wrapped around the tire carcass, and then the mold closed and heated to complete the vulcanization process. There are videos showing that. I doubt there is as much to see for bushings, but the same thing happens.
