I have a 9.5 x 9.5 plate w/ 2.25 corner radius. I am trying to use the new hole table for the first time but cannot get past the placement of the origin datum to get my x/y coordinates. there isn't really anything to snap it to...no temp. origin or endpoint. i guess i could sketch a line to snap to it's endpoint but i'd have to delete it and then what would happen to my datum? how do you fix a datum? help doesn't really explain what you can attatch it to. please help me, i'm working on this drawing right now. thanks.

Use Virtual Sharps. See help files.

Set the type of VS you want under Tools > Options > Document Properties > Virtual Sharps then when in the drawing, hold down the Control key & select the two lines which you want to have your VS linked to, then release the Control key. Next select the Point icon in the sketch menu & your VS should appear. Now when you insert your Hole Table you have something to select as your Origin.

NOTE! If you select the * or + as your VS it may appear extremely tiny on the drawing, but it will be there.
