I've recently upgraded to sw2003, and need to rename a large group of associated files...assembly-subassembly-parts. I remember doing it very easily through sw explorer, once, where I clicked the parent assembly, and what able to add a prefix to all of the files. I cant find that function in the latest release. I've searched under the help screens to no avail under "rename" and "prefix", "suffix".
Can anyone point me in the correct direction?
Thanks
My name is Boborush, and I'm a recovering MDT user.

SolidWorks Explorer will let you add a prefix OR suffix (e.g. Rev2) to files when using the "copy" function for an assembly file (open the assembly file in SWExplorer RM click on the parent and select "copy") with the "copy children" option checked. Simply enter the desired prefix/suffix string into the text box and you're off to the races.
