A question for SW06 users ... In SW06 a 'rounded end' slot can be created using a single line in a 2D sketch. Does that feature also apply in a 3D sketch? eg. a radial slot in the wall of a tube or OD of a round bar.

Interesting. Good question. I can't make that work in the same part. I think the only way is with a swept-cut.
If anyone else knows, I am interested also.

The quickest way I can imagine is using the Wrap Feature. Simply create a closed sketch. Then apply a deboss wrap feature on the cilindrical face. You get your rounded cut done.

If it's not cilindrical or conical use this procedure:
Sketch the slot.
Curve>Split in one direction.
Surfce-Offset ( zero value) of the new splitted face.
Apply a Cut-thicken and you get any kind of slot whatsoever

Altough you can use a 3D-Sketch to generate a extrude you can't give a normal direction to its contour.

Hope this helps.

Solidmold,
Good one, Wrap work well!
It's not a 3DSketch, but will work for me.
Per CorBlimeyLimey's original question, I would like to figure out how to do it with a 3DSketch.
