Hello all, can anybody tell me where to find dimensional schedules for "swage" nozzles as are used on box headers of air coolers?

codeeng thanks, but no. The fitting may be called something else, but is commonly referred to as a swage. It is a transition from round to obround, and the few I've seen are buttweld. They are used to put a nozzle onto a air-cooler box header where header dimensions do not allow room for round pipe and opening. Probably 6" and up.

Any air cooler folks out there?

After checking with a supplier in Jacksonville Florida, closed the doors last year.

You hit on it in your second post about the name. I remember that they made transition flanges and assumed they made transition nozzles, so I went with the nozzle angle. I was scanning the urls' to see if I could catch a name.

Extra
Any pipe fitter worth his salt can "boat" a large pipe into a smaller one. The best I've seen is a 1" into 1/2" that cut a very pretty radiograph. Not recommended.

The term boat comes from the shape of the cutout in the run of pipe where you are going to attach the swaged branch.
