Hi

I am trying to identify sweep air requirements to vent out H2S in vapor space of sulfur storage tank.

Plz suggest ways to calculate sweep air rate to maintain .85% of H2S in vapor space of tank. H2S is 300 ppmw in liquid sulfur at inlet to tank.

Regards

Hi,
You need to "assume" that a percentage of H2S is emitted to the vapor space, then calculate the required sweeping air.
This "percentage is a function of temperature and the level of agitation in your tank. It could be a number from 20% to 40,50%.
Hope this help.
