sweep cut in two planes

Hi,

I am using NX 7.5. I want to make a smooth transitioned profile by cutting the area mentioned in the attached picture. Please tell me how to do it. I tried edge blend but it does not work because I want to remove a bit more material from the area mentioned.

I see the red arc in the picture, but can you show, or explain, how it gets swept

Actually I want to remove the material from the model. (see attached picture).Would it be Sweep or blend but I need a smooth surface after material removal.

If we had the model we might be able to give it a try, but it would be hard to advise anything from only a picture.

That being said, your best bet might be to model a 'tool' body with a concave version of the shape that you're looking for and then subtract it from the model.

Hi,

Sometimes revolve with a required profile works instead of going into advanced commands. . It worked for me.
