swirl diffuser and ceiling diffuser

what is basic difference between swirls and ceiling diffuse(sq and circular), technically. how one can identify which one to be used.

swirl diffusers have better induction, meaning they can deliver more flow without causing drafts in limited space conditions. they also have wider range of flow where their air distribution pattern is proper, so they are better for variable-flow systems.

minimal height requirements have to be checked carefully, and air distribution pattern have to be calculated for every ventilated space.
