Switchboard Corrosion Protection 2

Are there any film forming products like silicone oil that are recommended to use inside of a switchboard enclosure to prevent corrosion? I'm trying to freshen up this panel a bit.

I wouldn't apply any sprays in a cabinet like that. You'd be asking for all sorts of odd problems arising from it. It would also help dirt to adhere to everything. There is a surprising amount of metal dust that comes out of contactors that you want to fall to the bottom not stick everywhere setting up arc-tracks.

WOW! Compared to the boats that I have worked on, that looks pristine.
Anecdote:
The worst was a small ship that went straight down in shallow water (at the dock).
The bilge water came up about 18 inches above the bottom of the panel, with the generator running.

Hoffman (the enclosure people) sell little emitter devices called "Corrosion Inhibitors". It's a sponge or tape material that you put in the enclosure and it outgasses a chemical that coats metal surfaces and prevents corrosion. They work great, but have to be replaced every year as a PM measure.
