Hello Everyone

I am a fresher in an automotive design company and an experienced person at the workplace told me that in the industry for sheet metal design they use Part Design Module as it is easier than GSMD for complex structures. My question is "is it ok to switch between modules as I create a part? Would that jeopardize the standards or anything?" Like for eg I will design a complicate structure in Part Design Module and then for stamping purpose if I switch to GSMD would that hurt in a long run?

My apologies if my question is vague. I am not sure how to frame my question. I will explain my situation in detail if required.

Thank you

for complex structures use aerospace sheet metal design. Ferdo id right, why to pay for the license

Hi,

You cannot switch between modules as you cannot create stampings of the sheetmetal features for the part features created in part design.
