Is there any way to set preferences in UG NX3 such that while in the MODELING application in metric units, dimensions are shown with a decimal point, and not a comma?

On searching thru Unigraphics help, I can find out how to change the symbol for the decimal point in the DRAFTING application (via "Annotation Style") but this change doesn't seem to affect the setting in the MODELING nor SKETCHER applications.

I don't think you can choose between the two in Modeling. However, I am surprised that the decimal display doesn't change in Sketcher when it's changed in Drafting, as some of the dimension settings in previous releases of UG would overlap from Drafting to Sketcher.

Are you on a Windows machine? If so there is a windows setting for the decimal point (I think it is in regional settings somewhere). Windows compliant programs are supposed to use the Windows regional settings (maybe I should say those that are fully compliant do use those settings).

nkwheelguy - Actually, I found that by changing the "Annotation Style" setting in DRAFTING, and then making sure to SAVE the part, the setting affected the SKETCHER as well. Previously, I had not saved the part after making the Annotation Style change.

Thanks a lot.

Not a problem & cowski is right, you can change regional settings in Control Panel to try & get the Modeling side of things to appear the way you want. I'm on Windoze 2K, just enter a comma instead of a period for the decimal change.
