Hi all,
I'm looking for info concerning acceptable runout and concentricity tolerances for the bobinn chucks on fiber winders. We have found that the bearing housings of our winders are "wallowing" out, I assume due to vibration issues. We plan to have an outside contractor perform inhouse boring and insert hardened sleeves to try and alleviate this problem. I need to give him some kind of tolerance criteria for this operation. Does such info exist or would it be worth while to contact the manufacturer. Unfortunately I'm dealing with IWKA winders and not sure how to contact them. Last I heard they were getting out of the winder buisness.
Thanks to all responses in advance,
