I am comparing my utility planning practices with prevailing practices. With that in mind I have some questions I would greatly appreciate your responce on.

The definition of Utilization Factor (UF) we use/go by is: UF is the ratio of the maximum demand of a system to the rated capacity of the system. In other words, the UF indicates the degree to which a system is being loaded during a system peak with respect to capacity.

1. Are you measuring a UF?

2. Where and how are you measuring UF?
(e.g. gate stations, district regulators etc.)

3. Does your UF calcutations figure into a Cold Weather action plan?

4. Do you have a UF target and what is your justification for that target?

5. How do you use the UF information for infrastructure planning?

Thank you very much for your help.
