Hi guys, im wondering if anybody has used a T Ring before in butt welding thin wall pipe (1-3 inch)

I spent many years at a aerospace company making pipe assembly's and we used to have a ring that would fit tight in the joint of the pipe (butt joint), which in turn would be the weld material and no need for filler wire, im used to calling it an integral lip or a Tee Ring. But, i cannot find anywhere on the internet, any information about it. I would like to use the same technique in my own shop but struggling to find the part.

They are common in hygienic service, and hence why CSI has them.
They are used with automated orbital welding, and 100% ID visual inspected to assure 100% penetration.
