Does anybody know if a satisfactory solution was found to the table display question in the above thread.

i.e. Tabluar results will not display. Format > Results > Matrix works. Nothing happens when Automatic or Table is set. Each result has to be separately formatted.

e.g. n: 1;10
x[n: n
x=

Nothing happens with x= unless Format > Results > Matrix

This worked fine for V1.1 20 years ago but does not work in 14 020.

Excognito,
Thanks for the reply. You first and second options that were formated Automatic and Table respectively did not display. The option that was formated Matrix did display.
See attached file.
I am running 14 020 on Vista Business 32 (Fully patched to date). Auto calc is on. I get the same results on both my HP laptops.

Do you know what setups might affect this?

Many thanks

I'm afraid I don't have any particular ideas. It might be that you have a wrong version of .net or that you need to re-install or repair (have you tried a repair?).

The best place to seek advice is over on the Mathcad Collaboratory

Just an fyi to let you know how the problem was solved.

PTC support said to reinstall. (I still had the email address from a previous call). I was reluctant and did not bother because I had 2 laptops showing exactly the same error. One is 2 1/2 years old, the other brand new. I did not want the grief and delay of getting the licence reset - again. Both pcs are on Vista Business 32. I had never used Mathcad on the new laptop in anger. After support called back to ask how I had got on, I did the reinstall on the new laptop. This time I still had the licence file on an email. Mathcad crashed and windows locked on the uninstall. However, much to my surprise, the install worked perfectly because I had the licence file.

Even more surprising was that the original matrix display problem was solved. PTC even rang back yet again to see how I had got on!!!!! Once you get to the right person they are very good. Just a shame that you need to kick up a fuss to get the righ person to take charge.

Nice to know you got it fixed :)

but I agree that your route to solving it should have been a lot smoother and direct. Looking at other threads dealing with support, it would seem that PTC have a lot to learn in this respect.
