That's been around for a while. I would like to see a demo pushing a block of wood with the hot dog behind it or on top of it and getting touched though. You know, how a finger hit would happen in real world usage.
These have been around for several years and are quite popular with woodworkers in the US at least. It's a nice saw and I've seen several anecdotal reports of the brake working as designed, but also few nuisance operations.
If I were buying a new table saw, I'd seriously consider it.
