Tallest Cantilevered Soldier Pile Wall

I am wondering if anyone has experience with cantilevered soldier pile walls exceeding 30 feet for a site where Moderate rock is pretty much fully on the active and passive sides.

Analysis indicates that moments, shear, and deflections are under control; but I am having second thoughts because obviously the analysis does not account for rock slippage.

It can be done, but you have to analyze the rock as the excavation progresses to remediate crumby zones of rock or joints sloping towards the excavation.

You may be better off rock bolting and meshing as needed.

Seems awfully tall for a soldier pile wall without tiebacks. Aren't the soldier piles becoming enormous?

Rock mechanics is not the same as soil mechanics. MTNClimber and DaveAtkins make good points. Regular soil borings and rock cores may not tell you what you need to know to do a proper rock stabilization design.
