Tangent Caisson Design Help

We recently were awarded a project with tangent caissons being used as support for a bridge abutment and also as permanent shoring to resist lateral soil and surcharge loads.

I am a rookie in deep foundation design and I am looking for design guidelines or examples for this type of deep foundation system. Any suggestions that may keep me on the straight and narrow?
