Hi all,
I'm having a bad day, my brain has stopped working. Please don't laugh at this question.
How do I calculate the Tangential Force on a spur gear that's attached to a motor shaft.
Here's the data.
Torque on motor shaft: 30Nm
Diameter of motor shaft: 10mm
Shaft RPM: 100
Spur Gear PCD; 45mm
No of Teeth: 15
Tooth width: 25mm
Module: 3
Please can someone have a go at it. The reason I need this stuff is so I can use the Lewis equation.
Regards
