What does the "GH" designate when picking taps (GH3,..,GH7. I know that GH7 cuts a bigger thread than GH3, but I am curious about what GH stands for.

"G” designates Ground Thread. “H” means that pitch diameter is on the high side of basic. These two letters are followed by a numeral showing the tolerance of pitch diameter oversize.
