Target Drone Mil-specs

I am looking for military specifications for the design of target drones. I have been having a problem tracking down any doccuments on this topic.

If anyone has any references to the design standards for UAV's, I'd be most appreciative.

I searched for target drone and came up with 2 results. You should also try searching for UAV and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.

I have not tried this source, but I looked at the DTIC.mil account and everything I found is either from 1950 or restricted. I just signed up for an account.

I can't see that there would be a MIL-SPEC for a gereric UAV. MIL-SPECS are to ensure conformity in materials, performance, spares etc and except for a spec covering some complete assemblies they are for parts and processes. You won't get a MIL-SPEC for an aircraft. There will be a bucket full of specs you might choose to include in the design to make sure you get the same bits every time you order them.

The mil-spec I was looking for is a generic set of specs for an aerial target. MIL-T-18232 Rev B is the spec on this.

This report is also the "bucket" you refer to, as it contains a ton of other more specific specs for individual components, parts and assemblies.

I did get the application to the ASSIST website, which is where I found this spec.
