Hi,

I am hoping someone can help?

We use Teamcentre v9 to manage all our CAD data (models, specifications etc) but I understand I am able to store PDF's,images, word documents etc too.

How do I do this? I had a look at creating a new dataset then using named references to import a file but this does not appear to be the correct way?

Many thanks in advance!

We use the same version of TCEng and we can add PDF's, translations, Word or Excel documents simply by creating the correct dataset and clicking on the button with 3 dots to import the document in question.

Life shouldn't be measured by the number of breaths you take, but rather how many times it's taken away...

Thank you.

I'm struggling to know which dataset to use :(

for example, what would you select for a DXF?

Have a look at the attached jpg, the image shows the translations dataset (4 legged shape), if you select this, you can see lower down the image in the drop down, you can pick lots of different types of traslation, dxf, iges etc.
