Hello all, we are using Teamcenter 8.3 and have run into an annoying issue
We have 2 sets of CAD data in our database, one is NX, the other is Ideas. The ideas revisions are numerical (/001, /002, /003, etc...), the NX revisions are alphabetical starting with a "-" (/-, /A, /B, /C, etc...). Now the issue is that as we move forward with phasing out Ideas we will create new NX revisions under existing Ideas Items, so that the revision stack may look like: /001, /002, /003, /A, /B, etc..). We do this either through CMM (migration) or manually redrawing the data in NX. In NX we are using "Latest by Alpha" rev order which always pulls the highest revision alphanumerically, which is what we want. What we are running into though is that the system considers the "-" to be lower than the numeric revisions, which is causing a problem when something goes from numeric revision in Ideas to a "rev -" in NX (/001, /002, /-). The system will attempt to load the highest numeric instead, which is not what we want.
My question is, is there any way to over-ride this functionality so that the "-" rev is seen as being after the numeric revs?
Thanks,
Matt
