Hi everyone
how can i tear non cylindrical surfaces from anywhere i want to using R17.

with V5, you can split or trim a surface anywhere based on a curve, plane, or surface.
 
I would like to know that after unfolding non cylindrical surfaces how can it be teared from any edge along the surface, lets say by projecting a line on it and using that line as a tear line.

Excuse me for my mistake - and thanks for clarifying what you're doing.

I didn't realize you could specify where the developed surface will tear, so I'd like to know how to do that also.
