Hi people,

i am looking for a technical specification for the fixation between stator and outer casing.
How many torque shall it carry? (for example: for short circuit, blocked rotor or break down)

Thanks,
Albaro

Short circuit would be the limiting case.

The mechanical linkage between stator core and motor frame can also have a dramatic effect on 2*LF vibrations measured on the bearing housings. Many designs are tweaked to minimize the coupling from stator core to stator frame at a frequency of 2*LF

If this is a motor then the only worse condition would possibly be plugging, if the starter was arranged to allow that mode of operation. If this is a generator then an out-of-phase closure of the main breaker could be the most severe condition although few if any manufacturers brace their machines for anything greater than a three-phase short at the main terminals.

yes, good point. Out-of-phase reclosure by plugging etc is worse than short circuit.
