Hi Everyone,

I'm currently working on my MSc project of analysing failure analysis of a tee pipe model through the use of functionally graded materials. I've made the model but I'm having a problem trying to mesh some areas of the model (particularly the orange areas). How do i get rid of the orange areas of the model? I know they either have to be partitioned or assigned a different element shape. if so what partitioning tool am i suppose to use? If anyone could get back to me ASAP that would be great!

Thanks
Gavin

Have you tried using virtual topology yet? It looks like that might help around the junction. Then you you can partition it into at least two sections. The help file has some good info on doing this.
