HI all,
I have a 2,000 HP motor to be procured and designed to be operating outdoors exposed to summer and winter time conditions. Outdoor ambient can be as cold as -45 Deg C (Canada).
I initially specified TEFC as these are vertical motors and TEFC would offer more compactness against TEAAC.
However, my client is asking for a TEAAC cooling system. I disagree as first, the motors are vertical mounting. Second, all TEAAC motors I have seen in the past are all horizontal and are installed indoors.
I would like to seek technical opinion from experts in this forum. Thank you.
