TEL question

And engine valve wear and pitting. I'm not a beliver in the fairy tail. But would like to see any information on studies. From what I have seen it is more of a high temperature corrosive action. Any input is appreciated.
I find that too many people are told a story about something and thats the law. Would like some help dispelling a myth.
