Tema 2007 FEA procedure for FSE design

Hello every body

I was trying to impeliment the new procedure of Flexible shell Element design in Ansys but there are some points I can not underestand clearly!!

1- How can I model the solid end cap in ansys I hav tried using a very larg moduls of elastisity to simulate the end cap but did not obtained good results?
can I simply restrain the small end in the lateral direction in order to simulate the behaviore of a solid end cap?

2- I am not sure if I should model only a FSE or I shoud model a FSE pluse a portion of adjucent shell for considering the efect Of shell to FSE conection on spring rate, if yes how long should the adjucent shell be?

there are also some ambiguity in loading that I will ask them in a seprate thread
