Has anyone heard of a damper actuator that is not pneumatic or electric and can be actuated at certain temperatures? Something like a spring actuator with a temperature sensitive spring that actuates the drive springs.
We have an existing brick building with a flat roof. The space above the ceiling of the top floor and below the roof is ventilated with several open wall louvers. I need to close off those louvers in the winter months. I want to put dampers behind the louvers so they can be opened in the summer months and closed in the winter months. It would be very expensive to run power or pneumatics to the louvers since those lines would have to be run through areas that are contaminated with asbestos thus the reason for my post.
