Which is the correct temperature range of soft seated Ball Valve (PTFE seat rings). Many Vendors offer this material at 120°C-150°C (248°F-302°F)as maximum permissible temperature. Some company declares 200°C (400°F) . Which is the reasonable range for a good engineering?

Specify the temperature in the inquiry.

The maximum temperature for ball valves is largely related to the trim, especially the elastomers. You may find many ball valves with PEEK rated around 480 degree F. PEEK is not metal and not very soft either. A few companies manufacture ball style valves rated much higher.

I know that PEEK is better than PTFE because have a wide range of temperature (up to 600°F) . In this case I want to know wich is the common temperature range value for PTFE seat rings. Thanks in advance for your help.
