Hello
I want to know how to know the type of probe température an electric motor, is what you write in the plate signalitique.
think you very much

I am used to seeing temperature rise "BY RESISTANCE" on written on nameplate for the motors I see (NEMA world).

As you probably know, temperature by resistance represents an average temperature. RTD could read somewhat higher than average temeprature since OEM generally attempt to get RTD close to the hottest spot (often the axial center of the winding). I think about 10C difference is max expected.

If it doesn't say "by resistance" or "by rtd" or something similar on the nameplate, then I would look at the standard which was used to purchase the motor.

For NEMA small/medium squirrel cage induction motors, a rise on the nameplate would be average:
NEMA said:
NEMA MG1 10.40 NAMEPLATE MARKING FOR MEDIUM SINGLE-PHASE AND POLYPHASE INDUCTION
MOTORS
10.40.1 - Note 3
As an alternative to items d and e [ambient temperature and insulation class], the temperature rise BY RESISTANCE as shown in 12.43 shall be permitted to be given.
