Template part vs seed part

Hi

1 Do any part can be a seed part?

2 What is the difference between
Seed part and template part.

The legacy seed parts exist in the "Unigraphics Seed Parts" folder in the Teamcenter infodba Home node and are managed as items in a folder hierarchy of master, specification, and manifestation.

If memory serves, there are other expectations that do not apply to template parts. The item ID and Item name must match and must not contain spaces. The folders and files must be owned by infodba user.
