Does anyone know if NFPA has any less stringent requirements for a temporary fire pump installation? It will only be needed for about three weeks until the local water utility has finished upgrading their water line to provide enough pressure to do without the fire pump.

no less stringent requirements. If the fire happens 1 day before the water utility is upgraded, you will understand why there is not a lower requirement.

I had a situation similar to this and the local AHJ told us that there is no criteria for temporary installations. I have been through the NFPA and have not found any mention of temporary installations.
