Hello everyone,

Maybe someone good at this topic or met this problem before, because I was really confused reading about this
Can someone tell me: does it actually work? And how terahertz radiation can influence on the human body, considering that THz waves passing through variety of things, such as ceramics and composites etc.? Thanks in advance!

Second question is easy; it doesn't. The human body is mostly water, which absorbs RF radiation. Certain airport scanners operate at similar frequencies, and can only image down to the skin

TTFN (ta ta for now)

Hello sunbeam360,

Actually, it is one of the major advantages of the technology vs. X-ray is the ability to 'see through' ceramics, plastics and composites.

As to the human body, I believe the question was about "influence on the human body" and here comes another crucial advantage of using the technology for security scanning of human body - the terahertz radiation does not have ionizing effect, like X-rays, thus is absolutely harmless to people and other living beings, so can be used in all public places.

Another good news - you don't need to use transmission mode (to shine through human body) but a reflection mode which gives you another opportunity of remote screening at 3-5 m. Read more...

I would be glad to answer any questions regarding this technology, just [link mailto:alexey.basenko@tera-sense.com]email me[/url]
