I'm helping a rancher with a new lake project and we are trying to do some rough calcs on area for his lake. The site is very dense with trees and brush so my Robotic or GPS system is basically useless at this point. I've resorted (keeping in mind I'm looking for rough area calcs at best) to using a hand help Garmin and obtaining GPS Coords from some basic points we know we want to be at or near a water level. I'm able to input the N and W coordinates into Terramodel (ex..32.0000,95.0000) and the results shown on the screen look really good. The problem is that when I try to run a distance from point to point, there is 0.00 value in distance. Area reports result in 0.00 square feet. I've looked at the Coordcon command in Terramodel, but this is the first time I've used direct keyed GPS Coordinates into Terramodel and I don't understand how to convert to either a user defined N-E value or State Plane Coordinate value. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
