Text file of a created Shape made in 2004 1

Hi
I made a shape using the Exspress Tool in a 2004
is there some way I can read the .shx file .
When I open it in Wordpad I can not read it as it is not in English .

There is no way that I know that you can read the *.shx file. The *.shp file however can be read in Notepad. You can insert the shape into an AutoCAD drawing with the "Shape" command.
