Is it possible to get rid of lines overlapping text in Microstation J? I have used both AutoCAD and Microstation. AutoCAD has a command called text mask that will mask out all objects overlapping the text. I'd like to find a similar feature in Microstation J. I know V8 has it already, but our client requires CAD files in version J. We also are using Interplot and I believe it can be done somehow using Interplot with Microstation J. I haven't figured that out yet. Any tips please?
Thanks, Jenny

Hi Jenny, if the lines that are overlapping the text are in a reference file then try reference file "clip mask". However, each text string will have to the clipped. There is a limit on how many "clip masks" can be used per reference file.

Hope this helps

Thanks Champ. Yes, the lines are in a reference file so I'm going to use your suggestion. There's a lot of text however. Hopefully, I don't run out of clips. :)

I often run out of clips. It's one of those things that I wish MicroStation would change. I would love to have an infinite number of clips.
