Text masks not plotting properly 1

We have ACAD files w/multiple images attached. Images & text are in model space. Text masks appear OK in model & paper space. The plot preview is OK. Most masks print properly. Some do not (images do not print masked). Same problem on multiple plotters. Same problem printing to pdf. Does anyone have a work-around?

wipeouts and textmasks (normally) are images.
1st I would check out the command "_imagequality" -> high
2nd I would change the textmask options to a solid hatch, colour 254, screening 1% in the *.ctb...

ACAD is a vectorsoftware, not an image software :-(...
