I have a very simple problem. I'm trying to create ONE letter of text on my sheet, with a circle around it. If there's another way to do this, please tell me. I'm being tortured.

I'm creating the single letter using the text tool. Then, I'm sketching a circle around the letter. Looks great. However, when I print, the circle moves about 1/8". Sometimes left, sometimes right. It does it on different sheets, different formats, everything. IT WON'T STAY STILL...

Recommended for you

1) Create the text
2) Click OK
3) RMB the text and goto properties
4) Go down to Border and pick cicular under style.
5) pick the type of size

Now the circle won't move because it is part og the text.

Do try not to take my name in vain. ;)

The circular border works just fine, and I appreciate the help!

I did find a work-around, though. Since I'm only enclosing an "S" and a "P" in a circle (starboard and port), I can use the symbols for Free State(S) and Projected Tolerance Zone.

Thanks, guys!

You can easily do this as a note.
1)Insert note.
2)Remove leader.
3)Change justification to center.
3)Change border style to circular.

Alos, I think that you could do it with a standard balloon set to "custom" for the Item Number.
