The differece between ISO 9002 and UL related electrical field

There is no direct connection or comparison between ISO 9002 standard and UL electrical standards. ISO 9002 is a procedure to ensure that an business, company, plant, or organization has a written plan that it follows to ensure compliance with its own quality standards. An entity that adopts ISO 9002 could as a practical means adopt a UL, ANSI, OSHA, NFPA, etc. standard as a rule to govern its own quality.
The UL standards relating to electrical accesories, wires, and related equipment is a design specification that the part must meet for capability, thickness, material of construction, conductivity, resistance, temperature extremes, etc.
In short, ISO 9002 requires following a internally written procedure. In contrast, UL standards require making a physical part to meet a known externally generated standard for a specific part.

In this document ALL MATERIAL MUST BE APPROVED FOR THE PURPOSE INTENDED. The AHJ does not approve material. The AHJ looks for the third party certification label on material. No label no approval.

I agree with the previous posts regarding UL and product safety. UL is also an ISO 9000 certifying agency, which means that it can conduct the cerification audit. This might be the basis for the question.
